Welcome to Schloss Matzen Garni!

Enjoy a couple of days in the lovingly renovated rooms, junior and romantic suites of the 1000 year old castle Matzen. The castle is lovely situated in the nature of the Tyrolean Inn Valley on a small hill near the village of Brixlegg and has direct access to the park. The beautiful Alpbachtal in Tyrol is a few minutes' drive or walk away from the castle- and with the Alpbachtal Seenland Card you will get great activities free of charge.

The stylish rooms of our castle have spacious, antique furnished bathrooms. Many special amenities such as LED / satellite TV and free wireless Internet access provide modern comforts in the historic walls.

As it was our aim to preserve the authentic, original character of the castle we renounced the idea of a lift. Thus our guests are using the ancient staircases just like in the ancient days.

The historic tower from 1150 has been changed into a modern spa tower with Finnish sauna, Turkish steam bath, massage, GYM with the newest equipment from Technogym, a rest room and on the top a exceptionel spa lounge with a fantastic stunning view over the roofs of the castle and into the Inntal and Alps.

Discover exclusive moments of pleasure around Matzen Castle in Alpbachtal! Experience culinary highlights in the “Gut Matzen” restaurant right next to the castle, convivial evenings in the “Gasthof Kirchenwirt” dance hall in Reith and exquisite wines in “Siegwarts Weinstube”. These special locations offer an upscale setting for unforgettable hours. Reservations are already underway - as guests of Schloss Matzen, we will provide you with all the information and support you need for your bookings!
